Last week we spoke about how webinars are a great lead generation tool for MSPs and IT service providers. This week, we give you a ready-to-use webinar promotion plan.
Step-1: Outline your webinar: The first step is to identify the important points of your webinar. What does your webinar focus on? What are the key takeaways? How will your audience benefit from attending the webinar? These are the points that you will be talking about in your webinar promotions.
Step-2: Emails: The next step is to create a series of emails promoting your webinar. Ideally, you need to start promoting the webinars at least a month before your webinar. Make sure the key details such as webinar date, day, topic and time are highlighted and clearly visible at the first glance in all your emails. You can send the emails once or twice a week, but make sure you track the registrants and exclude them from consequent promotional emails for the webinar. You can still reach out to the registrants with an email thanking them for registering and a reminder email a day or a few hours before the webinar.
Step-3: Social media: Promote your webinar on popular social media channels at least once a week. As in email promos, make sure the key details such as webinar date, day, topic and time are clear. If you are a part of any relevant professional groups or communities, share information about your webinar there.
Step-4: Monthly newsletter: Do you have a newsletter that you share with your prospects every month? The information about your webinar should definitely go in there as well.
Step-5: Webinar recording: Your webinar marketing efforts shouldn’t end once the webinar is over. Make sure you record your webinar (Most webinar platforms let you do that) and share the recording with those on your list and on various social media sites.
Webinars are a great tool to position yourself as a thought leader in your industry. But, hosting a webinar takes time and effort, so it makes sense that you pay close attention to promoting them right. By ensuring maximum outreach for your webinars, you can make the most of the time and resources you invest in them. Your webinars may last for only 20 minutes, but their impact can last much longer and open up a whole new world of opportunities for you.
