This is what they don’t tell you when selling marketing automation

You might have heard a lot about how marketing automation tools can help you grow your business, but did you know that there’s a good chance they may not work? Most MSPs invest in sales and marketing automation tools expecting immediate results. After all, more leads and faster customer sign ups were promised, right? Then, what goes wrong?

There are two major issues that your marketing automation company may not be talking to you honestly about.

You need to give time consistently to marketing efforts: Yes, a marketing automation tool makes it easy for you to build and run marketing/sales campaigns, but you still need to do it! and …do it consistently. A one-off email here and a weekly social media post there just won’t cut it.

You are…well…still ‘You’: Let’s face it. IT is your forte. Marketing and sales, not so much. No matter how good a marketing automation platform you have, you will still need some sales and marketing knowledge to put the platform to good use.

These bring us back to the core issue: How can a MSP whose hands are always full managing their client’s IT needs find the time to devise marketing and sales strategies, learn to use the new marketing tool and do so consistently?
